Tigger, aka Little Man, Fats and Fat Man enjoys sleeping, being lazy, ignoring the other cat and sleeping. He has fallen ill over the past few weeks and has developed a tumor located just under his spine, which has grown considerably over the past few months, he requires an operation. The problem is, we can't afford this operation on our own, and need your help. In an effort to raise the money we've put together a fundraiser to help raise money for the surgery. We would really like to get him in by the end of August, before this gets even worse and we are close to $1000 CAD short.

We will be holding a small series of events for the fundraiser to try and make up for the money we need, here is where we are:

So we've found out what Tigger has. The good news is, it isn't cancer. The bad news is that it's a condition called inflammatory bowel disease. This also came with good news though. It turns out that IBD is treatable with something called pregnazome (sp), which is a drug we were already GIVING Tigger for his Asthma condition. So indirectly we've been treating Tigger for a condition he's had for possibly years

This means his condition is treatable, and he probably has a good many years left on his life. ^__^ I'll update with a few pictures soon. His shaved belly is too cute for words...

Also, an update on Tigger's condition, we've had his initial blood work done to prep for surgery, and it's all clear so far. He'll be going into surgery tomorrow afternoon. Unfortunately I won't be here when he gets out, as I'll be halfway to Vancouver for Anime Evolution. My sister, *cursed-sight will be looking after him while he recovers, so if you have any questions while I'm gone direct them her way.

Tigger's surgery is scheduled for Tuesday. We'll be sure to try and get lots of pics and get copies of the x-rays for those of you who've been curious as to how thing's have been going. After all your support it is the least we can do. We hope the surgery will go smoothly and without complication.

We've now reached our $1000 goal and the appointment for Tigger's surgery has been made. The auction and unscheduled events will be called off, we will hold the raffle on Monday 18 to allow people who may have forgotten to include their raffle name to check the lists and submit their names to it as well as e-checks to clear.
