The Clock Tower

Project for class. Architectural study, flat 2-D graphic. Still not sure about the colours, any thoughts?

All inked by hand (without a ruler.. hence the crooked lines...), scanned, then colourized in photoshop.

This was my first choice for colors (I think. Right? I dunno now. But it has the purple-ish hue) ; 3 ; I think it looks nice and dusky here, and as I said before, that color really complements the golds in the cogs and whatnot. The whole concept is really quite fabulous. I love how the text almost disappears the further down you read. Did you come up with the text? It's pretty nifty C: And mysterious and cute and d'awwwww. :heart:__:heart:

I'm especially enamored with the clouds (omg lkjsdfasd the clouds are like. ; 3 ; ffff) and the trees. You're so imaginative : < It slays souls.

I totally wrote that shit on the fly. AREN'T I AMAZING? lawl. not. I should try my hand at one of those crack Haiku's now, since like, obviously i'm pro. xD!

This was one of your choices.. I dunno which one..... ._. There were a few on my blog that were really similar, but the one you said "i like this cause the dusky feel" was the one i used as reference.

I think the colors work great. The sky is a bit yellow at the bottom, which doesn't look bad, but I think more attention would be brought to the trees and narrow base with a slightly darker color similar to the top. I love the reuse of the dark blue in the clouds.

Other than the color, I think the details are amazing, the bricks, the gears in the trees, the clouds, everything. I especially love the pointing hand and the hourglass. Great texture on the ground and sky. Its a really astonishing piece for 2d. :)

Maybe I'll try the darker colour. I really do want to accentuate the narrow base.

I think the colors are fine. But the detail oh the detail I would never have your patience! They clouds are just wonderful. I love what you wrote to go with it.

Sweet man, sweet. I think the background gradient is more yellowy in this one than the one I'd chosen, but I really like it that way. Mm, I dunno. I think it's fab.
