Sort of a WIP of a school project. I have yet to do some rendering on them thar characters....also ... THIS IS THE FIRST BOOT HILL IMAGE. YEEE.
Update:This project was supposed to reflect the style of a Constructivism Poster from the Soviet Union. Update:Talked to my teacher, came to this new conclusion. Lemme know what ya'll think. *** -Boot Hill is a novel in progress written by =spectrosity, with characters created by =spectrosity, ~wiredgirl and =lone-momo. Genre: Western/fantasy, with a touch of romance, gun-toting action, and adventure. *** Boot Hill: A common name for the burial grounds of gunfighters, or those who "died with their boots on." Welcome to Corulin, a country where magic has dissipated, the monarchy's hold is loosening and turmoil has sprouted amid its civilians. Among them is Lindsay, a talented doctor who has inexplicably ceased to age as a young adult. Rumors that the once free-flowing but ominous magic is within Lindsay's bones all but casts him from the city he was raised and into the Splinters, a place where lawlessness abounds and gunslingers and thieves control the already stagnant economy. Under the guise of a traveling doctor, Lindsay searches for answers, though with few results. On a train to his next destination, however, Lindsay finds himself face-to-face with a trigger-happy gunman by the name of Finch, who seems to know more about the doctor than he's willing to let on. Both curious and petrified, Lindsay seeks to learn the truth from the gunslinger--at all costs. *** From the top left working clock-wise: Chapman, Evelyn, Finch, Lindsey. CommentsBOOT HILL?! WHAT IS THIS MADNESS!! (this is Sparta, etc., etc.) OMGGGG *drowns in the beauty of it all* I'm almost rendered speechless, which might be a first with regards to my prolific (but mostly stark raving mad) comments. But yeah, I HAVE A THING OR TWO TO SAY ABOUT THIS.
I love what you did with. Uh. Everything. I'm seriously in love with Finch's CHAPS OH MY GOD and his tomahawk and his arm muscles (like I said, Linds running his hands up and down them, etc., etc) so much. He looks SO eager to like, kiss some ass and take some names. Ahaha. YOU BETTER WATCH YOUR ASS, SILAS. Finch is a'comin'! LOVE WEDGE IS LOOKING MIGHTY FINE. Seriously. I'd tap that love wedge if he took a bath more than like. One every two weeks. And shaved. LOL. Linds totally has a run for his money with regards to Chappy's long hair. ; ____ ; He's so pretty in a rugged, manly sort of way. YEEES. And EVES. Oh shiiiiiit. She looks so fucking hardcore here. I aspire to her greatness, seriously. AND I THINK CHAPPY ASPIRES TO HER BOOBS, AMIRITE. ...... yeah, no. LMAO. Her ass is fine. I think Finch is feeling a little threatened right now LOL (but Finch always wins because he's the sexiest creature on the planet). lkasdfasdfa. AND LASTLY. MY LITTLE LINDS. ; _____ ;! He's all grown up now. With a six-shooter in his hand and everything. I love that he has so much inexperience in his face THE BOOTS and the bullets are so rad! That was a little touch I was NOT expecting (well, the boots at least) and I literally squealed out loud when I saw them. It's SO epic. YOU'RE EPIC. I LOVE YOUR FACE. AGHHHHHHH. AAHAHAHAHA. Yeah I don't know what came over me, man. : <
There's only one 'gun' he's comfortable with. Finch: Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just happy to see me *wicked grin* Linds: *HUMILIATED BLUSH* Of course Finch is a better shooter of THAT gun than any other--WHAT THE FUCK AM I TALKING ABOUT LOOOOOL *kills self with a tomahawk* |

I love how you combined illustration and graphic design in this piece, they're blended so well it's even scary, it's both old-school and modern. The overall feeling is dynamic and lively, one can feel the hot and sandy wind and you feel you want to scream.
As usual, your attention to detail is breathtaking, even in the background characters, they're rich and well defined.
You've played very well with diagonals and space, leaving enough air around the characters to don't make the picture look too crowded.
Really good job here.
