Project for school. B&W Illustration from a story that myself and =spectrosity developed together. It's basically a steampunk-ish version of aladdin. There are two genies instead of one (following the original legend), one of the watch, one of the lantern. In this scene Aladdin and Chiraa have just escaped from the dungeon in the bottom of the palace, which has been taken over by the insane Hakim. On their way up they discover paintings from the previous rulers and kings that Hakim overthrew. That palace is also falling into disrepair from years of neglect.

Ink and A4 paper.

I'm discussing this with =spectrosity at the moment, and she has yet to edit the final version, but she definitely wants to post snippets. The issue with posting writing on the internet is that it's very easy to steal. The full story probably won't be posted, but you can expect large chunks.

I love the perspective on this one. It seems slightly distorted, which adds to the eerie-ness of the falling-down castle. I can see this one being very dark and somber-toned, mostly grey, with little points of color from the lamps. Very good setting of mood here.
